4 February 2012. Apologies for the nine month gap in updating this. Norwich City did indeed win promotion, although Leo's team narrowly missed out. A new novel, SECONDHAND DAYLIGHT, will be published in the UK in mid-March - a sequel to 2010's AT THE CHIME OF A CITY CLOCK. Another novel, a 'what-if' historical about the 'lost' reign of King Edward VIII and provisionally entitled THE WINDSOR FACTION, is just finished and should appear some time in early 2013. One ambition for 2012 is to write some more short stories - current production rate is one a year! Who knows if this will be realised?
4 September 2013. A - gasp - 19 month gap since the last entry. What can I say? THE WINDSOR FACTION is published tomorrow. There follows two months or so of dashing round the place to promote it. Then I have to sit down and start another book. Still, I have Norwich |City's current Premiership campaign, not to mention the (prospective) triumphs of the Norwich School Under 14 Rugby XV and Cringleford Under 14 Football Club to sustain me.
12 June 2014 Only nine months since the last time. Two pieces of news - my novella FROM THE HEART is now available as an Amazon Kindle Single, and a collection of short stories is due in January 2015 from Galley Beggar Press, entitled WROTE FOR LUCK.
18 January 2015. A remarkably brief seven months since last entry. WROTE FOR LUCK published this week. Have also completed THE PROSE FACTORY, a study of English literary life since 1918, to be published next year.
